WIW - shredded sleeves, cutouts and chevron

Back to work! I love this top. I "won" it off Ebay last fall when i was hardcore questing for my basics that are not basic. The first time i ever wore it my husband pointed to my back and said, "wow. you are showing a lot of skin." O.o I think what he may have meant was, "you are showing skin in an unexpected place." XD I didn't want anyone at work to have that reaction so i tried to tone down the cutouts a bit by popping a lace bodysuit underneath.

Thanks for looking! Oh and i dyed my hair is back to basic brown. Pink hair was super fun while it lasted but waaaaaaaaay too much maintenance for me. *sniff*

WIW - Styling the brightest jacket in the world.

Today is my last day off of work before i head back from the long weekend. It's not very warm out today so i thought i'd break out the jacket! Since it pretty much scream, "Punk!" to me i thought it'd be fun to contrast that by pairing with a bunch of classic pieces.

I also kept my makeup super simple with mostly nudes and a bit of bronzer (because i like to try to carve out my non-existent cheekbones lol).

Thanks for looking!

WIW - A Dress Worthy of an Urban Warrior Princess...AYEEEE YA-YA-YA-YA

Sorry I'm eating and food makes me hyper. :D

I looooooooove this dress! I found it last year at Nordstrom Rack and i swear the heavens parted and the angels sang. I felt like everything about it was 100% "me" AND i could afford it! Lovely day!

It was also the day when i heard a voice saying behind me, "Do NOT look at the shirts. You have enough shirts. DO. NOT. LOOK". Which at first I thought was God having an impromptu intervention with me but it actually turned out to be a lady. Completely by herself. I really wanted to be friends with her.

WIW - a little different for me.

So...I don't wear this silhouette of dress. I don't really care for flower prints unless it's roses and these colors aren't normally me either. But i don't know. This dress really appealed to me? Maybe it's because the print is kind of cheeky? I tried to tone down the va-va-voom with playful socks and sandals. And i like that since it's clingy it isn't too short or low cut.

So yeah. Not sure what else to say. >.> I wore this!

WIW - Naughty, naughty

I feel on a whole the forum enjoys my work looks more than my casual summer looks because my shorts are...short so hopefully sharing these will be ok! Not that anyone ever said anything negative to me! Quiet the opposite. I"m just feeling 90s fashion and getting a little "grunge" in my casual clothes where as obviously my work attire needs to be more polished.

Picture 1: I cut, distressed, sewed and dyed these shorts last summer and i love how they turned out! I took my dressier shirt from the last outfit i showed and paired it with some more rugged, edgy pieces. Plus suspenders (or braces!). This is really "me" right now and one of my fav outfits i've put together for the summer.

Picture 2: Worn today. Again, really loving the 90s comeback right now. I've had this plaid shirt in my closet forever, quite abandoned and today it was perfect! I wish i had a black suede fringe bag to go with it but i guess that will have to wait until i'm shopping again.

WIW - 2 recent office-y looks

First - a rant: So i redid my hair and it lasted for...a week. I don't even wash my hair everyday! So i am redoing tonight and then after that i think it's back to basic brown. I don't have time to redo highlights every week nor do i want to! Plus unlike the box dye that i use it makes me clarify my hair so it's thirsty and i already have dry hair. I can't be clarifying it every week. @_@

Outfit 1: I wore something extremely similar to this before so i guess this is *kinda* a remix (i'm still a little unsure about that term...). Haven't worn this blazer in awhile and i am all about shoppin' that closet right now.

Outfit 2: Worn today. I don't really care for big bows but i am a sucker for bold stripes and sheer clothing. I'm planning on wearing this top tomorrow too but i'm going to grungify (i like to make up words) it up for a weekend look.

WIW - Coated blazer, mesh and ombre.

Worn to work today! This skirt has gotten a little too big for me in the waist (this seems to be the story of my life lately -_-) so i belted it a tad lower in an attempt to make a paper bag type waist out of it. Took a mesh tank i have and made it work appropriate with a cami underneath and a blazer over top!

Also i touched up my pink highlights last night. That was...an experience.

If you want to see more pictures or outfit details my blog is there to help. :)

WIW - Hearts, dots, and a skeleton hand hair clip

I'm about to run out the door to Trader Joe's (SO excited. It's like an hour drive. x.x) but i'd thought i'd post my outfit real fast! I was having a bad morning so i tried to quickly correct it by wearing a bunch of fun/favorite things at once. It worked! :D

Also, inspired by Greg's post, tried to improve my photos a bit. :)

More photos & info on my blog as always. :)

WIW - More playing around with peplum

I don't own many pencil skirts and i honestly haven't worn this one in forever but i really wanted to wear my peplum top in another way so i threw them together for another work outfit. I think it turned out well. At first i was wondering if maybe the flared part (or is that just called the peplum?) was too long for the skirt but i think it looks alright.

Comments? Suggestions? Criticism? Go right ahead. ;)
