WIW - shredded sleeves, cutouts and chevron

Back to work! I love this top. I "won" it off Ebay last fall when i was hardcore questing for my basics that are not basic. The first time i ever wore it my husband pointed to my back and said, "wow. you are showing a lot of skin." O.o I think what he may have meant was, "you are showing skin in an unexpected place." XD I didn't want anyone at work to have that reaction so i tried to tone down the cutouts a bit by popping a lace bodysuit underneath.

Thanks for looking! Oh and i dyed my hair is back to basic brown. Pink hair was super fun while it lasted but waaaaaaaaay too much maintenance for me. *sniff*

Ok Nicole, I think this is my most favourite EVER of your outfits. Perfection. The yellow necklace is perfect also.

SO very lovely! This is kind of like.. a somewhat understated Nicole outfit, a little more classic until you look closely at the details. That skirt is AMAZING (amazing I tell you!).

Nicole, this is amazing. I love the bright necklace, the incredible top and that graphic skirt. You are so inspiring!

It was a great idea with a lace bodysuit to make this top more work-friendly.
Love the whole outfit: necklace, top, skirt, shoes...Superb!
This is the second of your outfits I see today which is quite different from you usual style: as Aida noted (she is a master of style analysis): understated Nicole with subtle unexpected details. Do you think your style is changing now?

    I love this! Very pretty.

Love this! I love how at first glance this appears to be a very simple, graphic, understated (but still bold) ensemble, but upon closer observation there are all sorts of super cool little details - the cutouts, the neon necklace, the lace underneath. I also really like how the lace layered under the cutouts looks almost like a belt from far away.

I love the chevron skirt. It is just perfect with the shredded top.

Everyone else covered most of it so I want to exclaim on the SHOES ...those are so cool! What a way to rock a pair on mary janes!

I think this is my favorite outfit! I LUV chevron stripes and that skirt has sent me to orbit! What is it made of? Need make and model numbers! : P

You have such a fun, feminine style that always makes me smile!

Have you seen the chevron skirts being made by this blogger? You're like the punk version of her. :)

I love your idea of a "basic", Nicole. FAB as always!

    Thanks so much ladies!

Aida - I felt the same way. I mean i feel like there is still quite a bit going on here but like you said, not until you look closer. :)

    Deborah - aww thanks!

Sveta - I think my style is still pretty much on the same path. I have to dress a bit differently for work than i would for a weekend outfit but i imagine the older i grow that is the path more of my outfits will take?

Aj - i think it's just 100% cotton with a poly lining? I got it from The Limited 3 or 4 years ago.

Una - i had not but thanks for sharing!

Ali - LOL i don't know about that! XD

Angie & Kiwichik - thanks for an off the scale rating! :D

    Sarah - thanks so much!
