WIW - More playing around with peplum

I don't own many pencil skirts and i honestly haven't worn this one in forever but i really wanted to wear my peplum top in another way so i threw them together for another work outfit. I think it turned out well. At first i was wondering if maybe the flared part (or is that just called the peplum?) was too long for the skirt but i think it looks alright.

Comments? Suggestions? Criticism? Go right ahead. ;)

Thanks for looking!

This is a perfect pairing IMO - both colour wise and proportion wise. I'm also loving your sandals!

SUPER cute and totally works. The sleek pencil lines work really well with this type of top.

Lovin' it! Two trends here, a colored bottom and a peplum top--yay! Proportions look great to me, and your top would also work with a slim skirt at a longer length--even as long as to be in midi territory, IMO. Love your cool necklace too!

Very stylish, fashionista Nicole! Love the rocker vibe your accessories add to the very ladylike silhouette. This is edging towards that UWP vibe, with the trendy colour combo--- emphasis on 'princess' with the royal purple and feminine peplum and high heels.

Lovely and adorable outfit. You look great in the peplum, perfect length. And the skirt color is divine

You look awesome, although I agree with Claire that the top would also work with a longer skirt. I love how you juxtaposed the sweetness of the polka dots with an edgy necklace. All in all, gorgeous!

    I love it!

Great outfit! I love your necklace with the polka-dot top. The peplum looks good with the slim skirt and I think the length of both are fine.

Love the modern yet retro '80s vibe here. So fun!

I love it! That peplum top is genius - such a versatile take on the trend.

  • gradfashionista replied 11 years ago

p.s. where do you get that peplum?

  • goldenpig replied 11 years ago

Perfect outfit! Love the polka dot peplum top--I would steal that right from your closet! And great pairing with the magenta skirt. Love the bookending of your skirt and hair. :) And fab black bag too! The necklace is a perfect UWP touch.

    I love it! I want a peplum.

Thanks everyone! I think a longer skirt would be nice too...but since pencil skirts and i don't really get along probably won't happen...XD

Meghan R. & Sara L - I know it looks like polka dots here but they're actually tiny studs! That's why i had to get it! *_*

dissertante - It was a totally random find! I was at Marshalls NOT shopping for clothes and it was hanging out all by it's lonesome...for $9! I think it was meant to be.

annagybe - I would love to see how you rock one!
