WIW - Floral, stripes and shoulder embellishment

I wear this skirt quite a bit but i love it very much and apparently it is very versatile. :)
I also really love this top! It was a random find at a random consignment shop when i was in WI last summer for a Bon Iver concert.

And....i wore this to work! That's it i guess! Thanks for looking!

I think you should model for Forever 21. Truly. You have their aspirational look *down*.

    Another stellar outfit!

  • nicoleb replied 6 years ago

Lol it's a good thing you wrote "stellar" Angie or else i would of wondered if you didn't like it because i don't think you like Forever 21 very much correct? ;)

  • Angie replied 6 years ago

Forever 21 is not for my style - but it is for your style. AND, I said *aspirational*. Young lasses who shop at Forever 21 want to get their style together like you do. I meant it as a sincere compliment, Nicole :)

If I was head of F 21 Marketing, I would want you in the fashion shoots.

Nicole, I loove everything about this outfit! You wear short skirts so well, especially with booties. And that top is so much fun!

  • nicoleb replied 6 years ago

Thank you Angie! I was just teasing ya a bit! :*

    *wink*

I love this for you - brilliant pattern mix and perfect booties with a skirt. And you like it all so that is always good.

  • shevia replied 6 years ago

Great mix - although the look is young (short skirt, etc.) your sense of style is very sophisticated.

  • sarah replied 6 years ago

You have so got your style nailed, Nicole, and it's so fun and so you. Awesome pattern mixing.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 6 years ago

Love the pattern mixing here - very summery and stylish look!

  • MsMary replied 6 years ago

Oh, to be young and adorable!!

Nicole, this is one of your cutest looks ever! Love it from head to toe!! You are a true style original!

  • Beth Ann replied 6 years ago

This is inspiring me, Nicole! I love the flirty skirt and playful details! I think with a few substitutions, this could work for a 40-something curvy YLFer! What about subbing a simpler, more classic striped knit top, and a skirt in the same or similar print, but knee to midi length, perhaps in a pencil shape? I'd keep the booties, too!

    Expert pattern mixing, too!

So, so cute Nickichicki! I don't know you manage to wow us time after time, but you do!

  • Kirti replied 6 years ago

    Great pattern mixing! :-)

Such a cute outfit--great pattern mixing! Love your style. And Angie's right, you do look like a catalog model--love your poses and photography.

  • harmonica replied 6 years ago

I love this outfit - so cute, fresh, young and fun!

  • catgirl replied 6 years ago

Agree 110% that you are a F21 model in the best way (and you know I'm a fan!).

Have I asked you before what you do for work that you can wear these fab (but not appropriate for ALL work environments) outfits?

  • ManidipaM replied 6 years ago

LOVING those shoulders. The rest... well, it's just par for the course for Nicole's fabness ;-)

Hey just loved it. **Twins** stripes and florals!!! Love this combination.
    You are a real model!!!

  • Deborah replied 6 years ago

So gorgeous Nicole. You have an innate style.

  • nicoleb replied 6 years ago

    Thanks so much guys!

Fashionista - Twins! I'm definitely very far away from being a model lol. But thank you!

Una - I work at a Ameriprise Financial branch. Our office is really small though (only 3 other people besides me) and no dress code was ever discussed with me. When i started there i just kind of tried to figure it out by what everyone else was wearing and my coworkers have shown up in everything from shirts with ties to flip flops and sweatshirts. XD In fact i think out of all of them i'm the one who's dressed up the most often.

Goldenpig - thanks so much! I try my best. :)

    Beth Ann - I'm happy you're inspired!

    MaryK - thanks mom :D
