WIW - Prison pants + Missoni for Target

Worn to work today! I think i have come to the conclusion that i enjoy cropped pants as long as they are high waisted/hit at my actual waist. I've done lower but i just think this looks better as my leg has a chance of still looking long.

I kept the shoe simple and looked for something that wouldn't cut off my leg line. I also have a nude wedge i could of added but they're peep toe and my toes aren't ready to let the public see them right now. @_@

Sooooooooooo what do you think of these pants? Honesty and constructive criticism is welcome. I mean, i took the tags off and obviously wore them so i'm keeping the pants but...um...i dunno....say whatever you want. :D

Fun and cool. I think because you have the right shape and kept the top tucked, it balanced the pleats. Obviously not a look for everyone (for example, apple-y me) but it looks dynamic on you. Yes.

Awesome! Can't wait to see yours!

I'm hoping this way if i ever do get arrested they'll let me keep my outfit.

I think this is absolutely SMASHING! First, I obviously love black, white and red! The shoes are the perfect choice and tucking the blouse makes more of the pants appear thereby lengthening the leg line. Very flattering and hip (is that even a word anymore?)!

I'm in the minority here, but I like cropped pants. These look good on you and I'm partial to the blouse as I have a tee in the same pattern (also Missoni for Target).

I like this outfit so much! I actually think I'm going to jump of the cropped pant wagon. I love how you can showcase your beautiful shoes!!!
Any tips as to how to get it right?

    You look fab, Nicole!!!

I was a little worried about prison pants with such a bold shirt pattern, but you make it look incredibly fab!! (So, why would I ever doubt you!?)

This is such a statement outfit, but the simple black pumps and belt, and the fact that it is basically a shirt and pants outfit keep everything is perfect balance!

    Fab, fab, fab!

wait, is "prison pants" is an actual term for the style of these pants? lol! Prison or not, these look great. I love black and red together, it looks awesome! I don't think it would have looked as good with black pants but red makes it fabulous!

Love this outfit on you!! Wonderful finds :)

i think this looks wonderful, you totally have the build to make the pants work! i especially like the triangle earrings and how they play of the pattern in the shirt...

  • Diana replied 12 years ago

I think this works! The high tucked waist and the low-vamp pumps really help to keep the silhouette nice and streamlined. This is a statement-y outfit in the best possible way!

I have to say that I am so impressed by you and all the others here who've managed to rock the ankle pants! I don't think I could pull them off... probably the fact that I don't wear pumps has something to do with it.

This looks great to my eye. I especially like the architectural/arty qualities of photo #3.

    Thanks ladies!

Shannon - If "hip" isn't a word anymore you should totally own it. :D

Zapotee - not an expert by far...i wasn't even sure of these pants the first time i tried them on! But i tried to answer your thread about cropped pants to the best of my ability. @_@

    MNSara - Haha thanks ;)

Victoria - It's what i named them because they remind me of the bottom of a prison jumpsuit. XD

Diana - yeah i prefer them with heels of some sort. Not saying it's an ultimate rule though!

    Makrame - oooo, thank you!

You really own every outfit you wear, and I love that. This outfit looks very right for you -- young and fresh. Another awesome Nicole ensemble.

This works really well to my eye. I don't know what the reason is (high waist, tapered leg, young pretty model) but you look great in this outfit and very fashion bloggy (meant as a compliment!).

  • goldenpig replied 12 years ago

Love this outfit on you! Red black and white is one of my favorite color combos and you pull off the cropped pants look perfectly! Love how the earrings complement the blouse.

  • Parsley replied 12 years ago

Nicole, I *adore* this outfit on you! The pants fit perfectly, I love the bright orangy-red with the black and white, and the proportions are perfect- It just doesn't get any better than that!
