WIW - I Saw a Red Door and I Want It Painted Black

I've been wearing this outfit quite a bit. Pretty much any day that it is super hot outside and i've been laying around being sweaty and then i realize i need to run out and do some quick errands. Super easy to just throw on and i like it a lot. :)

The shirt used to be my husbands but he no longer wanted it so i chopped it up and turned it into a tank for me. I popped a striped bandeau underneath to preserve modesty and sneak another pattern into the outfit. :)

Thanks for looking!

Love the reuse of hubby's shirt! And I dare say you've made it into a very cool part of your laying-around/erranding ensemble. Fab!

How could your DH give up a Stones T? Mind boggles for a second.
But your reworking is probably much better than the original! Stripes and leopard print and you are ready to rock n roll.

Great repurposing of the shirt! I love your slippers too!

Ah, I just love that song! My dad used to play it *loud* from the vinyl. I think your outfit captures the vibe really nicely.

So cute as usual! I LOVE the striped bandeau, what a fun detail. And am happy to see those spotty slipper flats, so glad you got 'em.

Love your pattern sneaking! The high waisted red jeans shorts are awesome!
The slipper flats are the perfect fashion footnote for this stylish ensemble. :)

Such a cute outfit Nicole! You and Rae wear short shorts like nobody else! And the flats are awesome.

Does taking your husband's cast-offs and making them look fab count as manspiration?
I love the whole thing -

  • nicoleb replied 11 years ago

Ferm - ha! I hadn't thought of that but i'll take it! It's about as manspiration as i'm gonna get. :)

christieanne - well he wouldn't give up Led Zepplin or Rage Against the Machine so i guess the Stones was like, "take this and go away?" Just kidding. :D
