A bit of what i've been up to through photos

I know i've been missing on the forum for a little bit. I try to not spend a ton of time on the computer when i am home and i primarily get my internet browsing done on my phone when i'm...not at home. I am pretty obsessed with Instagram-ing everything so i thought i'd share some of the things i've been up to while i've been away!

1. Macaroons!
2. Making California Rolls!
3. Thrifted Jewelry find
4. New salt & pepper shakers XD
5. My little guy <3
6. Some nail "art"
7. A self photo on a very slow day at the office... >.>
8. Another one of my hobbies. Making "bento" style lunches for my son.

I hope this was mildly interesting to you...and if anyone loves Instagram please let me know your user name so i can follow you!

    Now I'm hungry.

Your son is as adorable as his mom! And you always have the best manicures.

OMG! You have been busy. LOVE the bento lunch you created. That is so awesome!! The macaroons and CA roll look amazing. You are making me hungry! Did you make the salt/pepper shakers? They are very cute too. Your son is lucky to have such a talented mom!

Wow! You are so creative. Everything you make is so beautiful...including your little guy!

You are hectically creative and your clothing style reflects this persona too :). I love it!

LOVE DS's bento box, Nicole. It's a huge thing in Japan - have you ever checked out that type of stuff at a Japanese department store? The kids bento box ideas are mind blowing and so beautiful.

Your son is adorable, and you have such obvious delight in beautiful (and delicious) things. Did you make those macarons yourself? I love the bracelet. Now it makes even more sense that your outfits here are so casually stylish...

You made me so hungry for sushi and macaroons! Your DS is adorable - I've got a 3YO DD we should get them together (although she can be quite bossy and would not approve of his button shirt - NO BUTTONs for her) Love the bento lunch - tres creative!

How awesome! The food looks so gorgeous, fresh, and made-with-love. Your son is too, too cute in his plaid shirt :).

Oh Nicole... Creative IS your middle name for sure. What an adorable little one ;-)

    p.s.
I had to look up Bento, now I feel like I've lived under the rock but i had no idea what that was. Thanks for spreading my horizons.

Nicole - I would love more information on your son's bento box - and how you made all the cute food to go in it! Pretty please!

Kelly - no i ordered the salt & pepper shakers off of amazon.com. The ones we had broke and i wanted our new ones to be super cute so i spent ages browsing different ones and decided on these. :)

Angie - Thank you! I've seen photos of a lot of incredible bentos. I agree they are really amazing. I really love a good many things about Japan and hope to travel there someday!

Mochi - Sadly i didn't make the macarons. I looked into it and got really intimidated so i decided to buy some instead. They're just so pretty had i had to take a picture!

Jjsloane - my son can be rather bossy too. It's something we're working on lol.

Ornella - Love that you looked it up! Glad to help! :)

Mamapicklejuice - Sure! There are tons of everyday things you can use to make bentos. For this bento i used this box. I used mini cookie cutters to cut cheese and a fruit "leather" into shapes and a regular sized cookie cutter for the sandwich. The panda is a little cup that i put raisins inside, i got him and the panda pick in the grapes from a website called, allthingsforsale.com. Oh and the grapes are in a reusable baking cup. I found mini saltines for the cheese at the grocery store near the oyster crackers. You generally just want to take up all the space in your box as possible so when you close it up and go somewhere nothing can move around and get messed up when it's time to open it up and eat. Also check out this website: anotherlunch.com . It's what really got me hooked, all of her ideas are pretty doable and still look super cute. HTH! Sorry i wrote so much. @_@
